Holocaust Memorial Day
and Channel Islands
Occupation Memorial
These islands were the only British territory to be occupied by the Nazis during the Second World War.
Many islanders were deported, some to concentration camps and prisons, where a number died through the mistreatment they received.
This site is intended as an educational resource providing information related to the victims of this period and to record the efforts of those who came to their aid. It is also the primary resource for Jersey's annual Holocaust Memorial Day commemoration and includes survivor testimonies and accounts relating to the fate of forced workers transported to the islands.
The website also includes an extensive Occupation photographic archive.
