Artists in Jersey
Jersey's unique character and wonderful light have inspired many artists over the years. The Artists in Jersey section of This is Jersey acts as an evolving showcase for artists, both past and present, who have responded to the island's landscape, people and lifestyle.
Art Heritage
The Barreau Le Maistre Art Gallery in the Jersey Museum at the Weighbridge displays the highlights of the Jersey Heritage Trust's large collection, spanning 500 years of Jersey art, and featuring works by notable painters such as Edmund Blampied and Malcolm Arbuthnot.
Sir Francis Cook | Sarah Louisa Kilpack | Edmund Blampied | Malcolm Arbuthnot | John Le Capelain | Claude Cahun
Public Galleries
Contemporary artists have the opportunity to display their work at the Jersey Arts Centre both in the Berni Gallery upstairs and in the Bar Gallery downstairs, both of which are free to the public.
