David Hurn: A Welsh Life

Photographer David Hurn started an international reputation for his intensely personal coverage of the sixties and his iconic images of celebrity friends, including The Beatles, Peter O’Toole, Sean Connery and Jane Fonda. In the 1970’s, he returned to his home country of Wales to research the meaning of the term ‘culture.’

The exhibition A Welsh Life represents three strands: the way we live; the people; and the landscape. Hurn’s beautifully composed images present an unforgettable, yet affectionate view of a changing country.

David Hurn will also be presenting an illustrated talk on Monday 6 August at 7.30pm.
