Flybe recruits Jersey-based flight deck and cabin crew

AIRLINE Flybe wants to recruit Islanders to train as flight and cabin crew.

The airline is now Europe's largest regional carrier, having completed a multi-million pound takeover of BA Connect.

The larger company has, at times, experienced difficulties and there have been reports of flights being cancelled owing to a shortage of available crews.

It is launching a recruitment drive for local flight deck and cabin crew to boost its Jersey-based team.

Candidates must have 'relevant residency qualifications'.

The minimum age for cabin crew is 18 years and Flybe is hoping to attract people who are already in employment but are considering a change in direction or those about to start out on a career.
