Social Security Registration Card

Every person working in Jersey must register with the Employment and Social Security department.

Upon registration, you are given a Social Security Registration Card with your name and number printed on it. Give this immediately to your employer; otherwise they should not pay you a salary.
You must notify the Employment & Social Security Department if you move to a new address, leave the Island or your marital status changes. Remember to quote your Social Security number on all correspondence.
If you cannot remember the number, provide your full name, date of birth and address. In the event that you leave the Island, return your registration and health card to the Department and include a note providing the actual date of departure.

The Employment & Social Security department is located at Philip Le Feuvre House, La Motte Street, St. Helier. It is open 9:30am - 3:30pm Monday to Friday.
