Family Nursing and Home Care
This is a charitable organisation funded by grants from the States of Jersey, various Parishes, subscriptions, donations and legacies.
The service is staffed from various locations around the Island, but is mainly divided into East and West.
Philosophy of Care
"To provide a timely and comprehensive range of high quality community nursing and home care services which are cost energetic, accessible, appropriate and sensitive to the needs of the population we serve."
Community care is provided by district nurses, health care advisors, home care assistants (domestic and personal care), health visitors, paediatric nurses, school nurses and family planning nurses. There is close liaison with Statutory, Parish and Voluntary organisations. Including Meals on Wheels, Womens' Refuge, WRVS, Jersey Hospice Care, the Shelter Trust, the Alzheimer Disease Society, Jersey Blind Society, Variety Club and many others. There is close association with the hospital, general practitioner and other health professionals so as to provide a more co-ordinated albeit confidential service.
