Highlands College provides lifelong learning opportunities
• Full-time courses
Highlands College provides full-time education for students aged 16+ from entry level to Level 4 in subjects ranging from hairdressing and beauty to art and design, IT, travel and tourism, media, cosntruction and engineering, business studies, sports studies, culianry arts and childcare. Mature students can also return to education through Access programmes in order to progress to higher education. More information is available from the Student Services team on .
• Adult and Community Education
Highlands College offers an island-wide programme of over 600 leisure and vocational courses to closely match the community's needs. The prospectus is published termly in June, November and March. See the latest prospectus online here or telephone the Highlands College Adult Education team on .
• Adult literacy
Highlands College provides a confidential service for adults who have difficulty with reading, writing or numeracy. A personal tutor is assigned to each student and the programme is individually designed. For more information telephone .
• Part-time courses
Additonally, Highlands offers part-time courses leading to qualifications in areas such as banking, accountancy, management, administration, marketing, hospitality, construction and engineering, information technology, counselling, childcare, beauty therapy, aromatherapy and reflexology.
