Career education and guidance
The Careers Service is based at the Department for Education, Sport & Culture and works closely with the Island's secondary schools and colleges and directly with young people and their parents/guardians to support and supplement career education and guidance programmes. It also works to strengthen the relationships between schools, further and higher education providers and employers. In addition, it offers an all age guidance service to those looking to return to learning either for the purposes of career development or to assist in career change.
The Careers Service offers:
- a library of books and software on careers advice;
- a large collection of prospectuses, videos and other information on universities;
- a wide range of career s material to inform and aid careers choices.
All are available to the general public for information and individual guidance reviews.
