International Air Display
The main celebration of the Island's complex history is Battle of Britain Week organised by the RAF Association, the highlight of which is the International Air Display.
The display includes a Memorial Flight of famous planes such as Lancasters, Dakotas, Spitfires and Hurricanes over St Aubin's Bay as well as some breath-taking aerial stunts from the Red Arrows.
The aircraft can be viewed close-up on the ground at Jersey Airport and People's Park, and as the organisers get planes that are not normally seen in the UK, they are well worth a look. The event has been described as one of the best in Europe and helps to raise funds for the Royal Air Force Association - WINGS APPEAL.
The Jersey Evening Post photographers are always in the best position to capture the event. See our Battle of Britain gallery
