Garden Festivals
If you prefer to see flowers in their natural state, then there are several horticultural festivals to choose from.
The Jersey Festival Rose Show takes place at Samares Manor whilst Howard Davis Park hosts two Summer Flower Shows. The Royal Jersey Horticultural Society Headquarters at Trinity is the venue for the Autumn Fruit and Vegetable Show, but the main event of the season is the Jersey Garden Festival.
A celebration of gardening and flowers, the Jersey Garden Festival is held annually each July in the company of some of the UK's top garden experts. The Festival includes the annual Garden Awards Scheme where private gardeners and business enter their finest floral displays for judging and open up their gardens to public scrutiny.
Jersey's mild climate makes the Island an ideal place for plants to thrive and flourish, and with many of the Island's parish halls competing in the awards scheme each year, visitors to Jersey during the summer months are likely to be greeted by a riot of colour.
