Letters from the

That dome should be listed

From Alan Haines.

15/8/07

PERHAPS Environment Minister Freddie Cohen was very young in 1974, when the dome was added to Fort Regent, but going back to the 1950s, the United Kingdom held the Festival of Britain in London where they built the Royal Festival Hall. There was a very strange obelisk sort of structure called the Skylon with pointy ends, and there was also a large exhibition hall called the Dome of Discovery plus many other interesting things. I think, as do many others, that Jersey's own dome should remain and be listed.

Apt H260, Le Marais, St Clement.
