Recycling in jersey
The amount of household waste delivered to Bellozanne has doubled over the last 20 years.
On average, every person in Jersey throws away their own body weight every 7 weeks.
In Jersey, we produce enough waste each year to fill the Queen’s Hall at Fort Regent more than ten times.
On average, 16% what you spend on a product pays for the packaging – money that normally ends up straight in the bin!
We must do everything we can to reduce the amount of waste produced. Most of us don’t like to see things wasted and there are lots of actions we can take that could make a real difference.
